Order Fulfillment & Delivery Policy

THIS PRODUCT WAS PRODUCED IN A PRIVATE RESIDENCE THAT IS NOT SUBJECT TO GOVERNMENTAL LICENSING OR INSPECTION.

SAFE HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS: To prevent illness from bacteria, keep this food refrigerated or frozen until the food is prepared for consumption.

Important: Texas Cottage Food Law Restrictions

As a Texas cottage food production operation, we are required by state law to personally deliver all food products directly to the consumer. This means we cannot use third-party shipping carriers like UPS, FedEx, or the United States Postal Service to mail our products.

Local Delivery Only

  • Service Area: We are only able to fulfill orders for customers within the Dallas Fort Worth area within a 50 mile radius of McKinney TX.
  • Delivery Schedule: Deliveries are typically made between 1 PM and 5 PM on Thursday. You will receive a notification with a delivery window once your order is confirmed.
  • Delivery Fee: A flat rate delivery fee of $25 will be applied to all orders. Free delivery may be offered for orders over $100 in value.

Order Fulfillment and Pickup

We will coordinate a pickup time with you after your order is placed.

Packaging

All of our baked goods are carefully packaged to ensure freshness and prevent contamination during transport. Our products are exempt from being packaged if they are too large or bulky for conventional packaging (e.g., a multi-tiered wedding cake). In such cases, all required labeling information will be provided on your receipt or invoice.

Returns & Refunds Policy

All Sales Are Final

Due to the perishable and custom nature of our products, all sales from The Gilded Spoon are considered final. We do not accept returns or offer refunds for food items.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

In the unlikely event that your order is damaged during delivery or if you receive an incorrect item, please contact us immediately at contact@thegildedspoonshoppe.com with photos of the product. We will review the issue and, at our discretion, may offer a replacement of the damaged or incorrect item. Claims for damaged or incorrect orders must be made within 24 hours of delivery.

Cancellations

Because we begin preparing ingredients for your order shortly after it is placed, we can only accommodate cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the order being placed. To request a cancellation, please email us at contact@thegildedspoonshoppe.com.
